My tank is 2 years old everything was thriving till this point i was using afr. And everythint was balanced, 2 weeks ago, roughly my afr container ran out and i didnt realize since i dose 95ml/day, i added the whole 100ml at once. Thinking because my container was empty adding the whole afr dose was a good idea. Well long story short my mag is over 1500 tested 3 times for salifert, my octo heads some died, and my elegance is super ticked off and closed. I dont know how high my mag is but looks over 1500 according to salifert. What do i do here. Do i stop dosing afr? Do i switch to 2 parts and stop mag for a while, im not sure what should i do? I believe salifert my
Apex showing 1360 and i honesty dont believe that over salifert

Can you check the kit against fresh saltwater? Adding AFR all at once isn't going to negatively effect anything, especially not shoot the mag high.

Hold up.

If you overdosed enough AFR to massively boost magnesium, you likely have much worse problems from high alk and calcium and other ions.

More likely, the magnesium is test error. Use your kit on some new salt water.

How much AFR was actually dosed to what size tank?

I agree with double checking your test kit (expiration date?) against some fresh made saltwater (or even tap water) to see if you get a sane result.

I have had mag over 1500 before. bad IO salt bucket, was mixing around 1700. If your mag really is that high, your snails will start falling off the glass and dying (and coral will do some really weird stuff too). if your snails are fine, you are still probably under 1600. I would double check that you are getting a valid reading. I agree with Randy that it is very unlikely that you would get a mag spike that high without getting some crazy high alk / call with it. IF it is that high, do a series of large(30%) water changes, 1 per day for a few days until that level is under control.

100ml to 150G so what happened was my tank takes 95ml/day seperated on 24 hours. So it dose hourly small amounts. That day what happened was, i looked at my container and it was empty forgot to refill it. In my head i was like okay let me add the 100ml all at once. My alk dropped from 8.2 to 7.2 i use 1dkh a day. My first mistake was i added redsea alk liquid like half dose and then i added 100mp all at once from afr. I pretty much jacked my alk from 7.2 to 8.8 ib a matter of hours. And then i checked my mag today, and the mag like at the edge if 15000 it turns blue all the way down the syrigue. I also tested fresh sw from awc its at 1350 so salifert is correct. Not sure what to do now.

I wouldn't do anything drastic. None of those values are outside of what a healthy tank can handle. Just keep up on regular maintenance, keep watching your alk and dosing as needed. You can run 1500 mag for a while without hurting anything further. If it is giving you heartburn though do a 30% water change or 2. That will knock it down a bit. What you don't want to do is cause even more instability by messing with things.
