It looks like the patient is doing better. Good on you for catching that before it was in your DT!So my lil ich dude is nice and active today. It's a black velvet damsel, I intended to grow him out a bit in my 15 cube and later add him to my Eel tank. But last second I saw spots so aborted mission and wasn't really prepped for a larger treatment tank. I opted for a large jar. I added an air stone, a cut piece of sponge media from my main tank and a plastic plant. No heater for now, but room temps are 75 so sufficient. I chose to treat with malachite green as the treatment is fast and no testing required. I'm thinking after the 3 day treatment I'll set up a clean 5g (with UV for good measure) for observation. I have plenty of donor media for ammonia control. Fish is small so it makes this possible. I'm keeping him partially covered for most of the time to help with stress. Looks good coloration today so I'm positive for his outcome.
This is what wingin' it looks like.
At least it was the going in 15g with just 2 fish, but still not the hassle I was going for.It looks like the patient is doing better. Good on you for catching that before it was in your DT!
No joke!? I haven't gotten there in my notifications. I'll have to cut the line to that one.you won a pico light
Congrats!!Been waiting for holiday sales to pick up a few things and I got in on that BRS giveaway. They are throwing extra things in on boxes ordered and live streaming it and they actually picked my box. I ordered a protein skimmer and now a bunch of icp tests and other cool stuff for free. Awesome. Totally need this boost.
Thanks. It caught me off guard, I was just casually watching the live stream, washing dishes, they were talking about the random items they were tossing in the box, then they read comments and i was like, "hey, I wrote that," then they butchered my city and state and said my name. I was so shocked. I never win anything so I'm beyond excited right now. I rewound and saw that I got 3 icp tests, a feeder of some sort, some foods, a floating hydrometer I've never seen before, looked like a giant thermometer they talked about it for a while, and some rodi filter cartridges. Can definitely use those filters and food and feeders. I've never done any serious testing (other than my own) so excited to try that.Congrats!!

Oh, okay! Cool! Yeah, grabbing any of those branches and snapping it off should work if you want to frag it. Digi is pretty fragile. Very nice coral!Here's the over grown digi. Biggest issue is it's not an ordinary frag rack, it's the super textured aquarocks one. I love thier racks but don't let one grow too much.
@Reefer Matt
Included a picture of a duplicate rack that this is on to show how textured I'm working with. The frag is on the center one.
Go to Pro Mode or Manual Mode and adjust the white balance off of auto. Depending on the filter a setting or 3500-4350 might work. I think with my orange lens safety glasses I had to go up to 5750 for some corals depending on the light intensity currently and the lights in the room.Picture dump. Kinda hate my phone for tank pictures. It thinks it's smart by color correcting even with a filter, so some shots turn really purple? Ehh.
Also interesting, I got both these chalices at the same time, one hasn't grown at all, one has doubled in size. Weirdos.
This one has green steaks on the back, the camera doesn't show it.
