All cleared up and lookin sweet if I do say so myself. Just for funsies, I put my little freebie kenya tree in there last night and this is him before the lights even came on this morning - just light from the front window. Added turbo start and Dr. Tim's One and Only last night, which I have never used before. Did a little more adjusting, and filled my ATO. Things are coming along nicely :) This is just as the moonlights were coming on.
I also ordered a Vivid Creative Aquatics Random Flow Generator yesterday. The return nozzle on there now immediately blasted all the sand from the bottom front glass.

Looking good so far have this same tank and love it. The ATO it came with is effortless only issue is how often I need to refill it. Just hit the 2 year mark with 0 issues.

I am so grateful for that review, and yes the ATO is working fine. Proving once again that my lack of understanding does not correlate to a thing not working correctly! I am using a small siphon cleaner and running it from a pitcher of water into the ATO reservoir. It seems to be the best way of not pouring water everywhere.

Also...got some clowns...seeded biomedia from another tank can be a wonderful thing:

Don't over think it I literately use one of these to refill the ATO. Hasn't failed me yet lol and I keep it filled as soon as I start getting low its always ready.

How do you get the water into the box, though? If I try pouring it in from a pitcher I can only pour halfway before the container bumps against the top of the stand. That's why I'm using the siphon ( the little one for my nano and betta tanks)

Believe it or not it pours in almost the entire way. Whatever is left over I'll use a cup to dump in. The bottle is just 1 gallon not that big.

I visited my friendly neighborhood reef farm yesterday, and for the second time, the owner, whom I have known for about 15 years now, hooked me absolutely up. This is last night, right after they went in, but I got some cool stuff. We have a toadstool (possibly a willow) big enough for my clowns if they so choose to take up in it. I got two blue sympodium frags, three hermit crabs, and the giant fruit loop at the bottom is another toadstool that had apparently started to die and then stopped, leaving mostly the outside area. Again this was just after they went in the tank, but tonight I will cut that up and attach to some little rocks to fill in space for now, and once they have healed and started going again I'll take a few back to her. Been back in the hobby for 4 months and my girl has already put me to work again lol.
Here is the now pic...will update later again once everything has stopped pouting!

You lucky lucky dog. I wish I had friends that owned reef farms. The tank looks great!

Update :)
I am pleased to present, Todd and Margeaux:

Their hobbies include, beating the everloving carp out of each other for no apparent reason, and being indecisive about who is going to be Margeaux. It's a work in progress.

Updated FTS. All the corals have settled in so nicely. I am loving the yellow and orange phone camera filters. $20 well spent IMO. That sinularia molis is one of my favorite corals I think I've ever owned.

Bonus points if you can ID either of the big leathers in front. The one in the sand is the donut I was working on getting stuck down. It has stuck down and the foot is about 2" tall now when it sticks up in the morning. The one in the rock I was told devils hand but it's more wavy than finger-y. The gorg has shed twice since this picture. Something happened that it didn't like and the polyps got smaller, but it seems to be on the mend.
Here are the closeups of the leathers:
