Can MG drop from 1200 to 1140 in a week?? I notice my mg was low 1050 doses to bring it up to 1200 and a week later it's down to 1140

I have a sps dominate reef I am running a calcium reactor and my parameters are

Ca 430
Alk 10.2
Mg 1140 down from 1200
N04 5
P04 .05

I run auto water changes about 1.5 gal per day using IO salt.

Nope, that's testing error, unless you did a big water change with low magnesium salt water.

Real magnesium depletion would not typically get above about 2 ppm per day, and is usually about 1/1oth the calcium depletion rate or less.

Salifert Magnesium tests tend to give lover readings with time. But check salinity also to be on the safe side
