Have access to magnesium hexachloride which i believe is magnesium with a lesser chloride concentration than regular magnesium chloride ???
Can it be used in the magnesium additive as per Randy's formula ? Would it require adding more magnesium chloride in the mix to keep a chloride abd sulfate balance ?
Anything to be aware of
Thanks

This might be hexahydrate not hexachloride

More chlorine in place of water. Unless DanP is correct?

Eccess chloride isn’t a big issue but it’s not as good as hexahydrate, for keeping ions balanced over time.

No such thing.

All magnesium chloride is magnesium dichloride, and some has 6 waters to make it a hexahydrate.
