I was browsing around a couple of weeks ago and came across a magnetic glass cleaner that was the standard magnet on the outside. The inside component appeared to be a type of cloth/abrasive, I assume with a metal plate embedded in it. It looked like it would be a great design because it would reduce the chances of breaking off corals that are close to the glass. Stupidly, I didn't bookmark the page and can't find it anymore. If you've seen such a product, I'd appreciate a link.
Thanks,
Gary

Sounds great! I would like to see it as well.

sounds alot like what i did a few years ago. i had an area of the reef where my caps were goinging VERY lose to the glass in some places. it was hard to clean becasue the matg float was to thick. what i did was removed the back to the inside part of the magfloat and then used epoxy to hold the metal to just the front plate. i dont leave them in the tank so rust was not a concern at that time. worked great and made it just thin enough to fit in the spaces i needed.

Did it still float after you modified it?

yes but only becasue i ended up using hot glue to hold a small strip of bubble tape to it. lol

befor that no it did not but that was not a concern of mine

Gary...if this is what you're looking for Premium Aquatics carries it...

Thanks, Nina. That looks like an interesting product, but it's not the one I saw. The cleaning part of the one I saw almost looked like cloth rather than a rigid cleaner.
