@Salty.Reefer Thanks! Sounds similar to what i have currently a bit higher in intensity and color but ive got the wE and a shallower tank so i think ill just keep it where its at. ramps up to 38intensity 25 color for 90 minutes then stays at that setting for 7 hours then 90 minutes back down to zero. Using a RKL light controller so my options are a bit limited for settings.

Awesome I think the best thing would be to let it sit for a month and try to keep your water quality super good. I thought my coloration in coral was due to light but I now think it could have been from prarmeter swings as a switched from NSW to Instant ocean.

I recently got this barnicle cluster. I was thinking about soaking it for like a week or two the putting it straight into my reef. Anyone see any issue in that?

Here they are on 1/20. Pinched in almost all day, reaching. none fully opened.

2/2 5:30pm start of Chemi Clean

I also decided to clean my skimmer at the same time because it had a ton of coraline so I ran this pump with an air line.
Right when I started.
IMG_1541.JPG

only 15 minutes later but there was significantly more bubbles. I also had a small airstone in the sump.
IMG_1543.JPG

2/3 9 am. only a couple hours in. can't tell much difference.
IMG_1544.JPG

red zoas showing change.

Right when it was put in the tank from shipping.
I don't live to far away but I accidentally payed for shipping on eBay. I called them and told them not to ship and they said no worries and would give me store credit for the shipping. Then I go to work on Wednesday my mom calls me saying there was a package at her house with LIVE FISH! written on it. UGH! It even got sent to me old address. Good thing is that my parents only live 20 minutes away. She was able to got to my house at put the bags in the sump. I got home 7 hours later and the frags were a little ticked but alight.
IMG_1598.JPG

Free Favia from Aqua SD so I guess it makes up for their mess up.
IMG_1599.JPG
IMG_1584.JPG

At first I thought the Cyphastrea growing on the rock was cool but then it started to get on the frag plugs and at the rate it was spreading I didn't want to have to break off any of the frag plug. So I glued over it with super glue and will see what happens.

And thats what has been going on in my reef!

Wow how time flys! I only have so much time to spend doing reef related stuff but it has been time well spent! So much has changed and over all improved. Lost the Yuma seen in the first photo of my last update. But everything else pretty much looks better than ever. I built a new awesome water mixing station, started using a dozer, and started checking calcium and all daily. I told myself when I first started this tank I wouldn't be "that" reefer but seeing things grow is rewarding and seeing corals die sucks. Anyway here are some photos from the past 2 months.
Tank at its worst.
