Tough call. Poor guy. Poor you. I’d worry about potential infection. The paranoid version of me thinks it would be best to capture, remove the spine, and put in qt for observation and potential infection watch/treatment. But that would be a heck of a lot of stress. Capture could also result in the spine being pushed in further. I’d give it a few days and watch it like a hawk. May have just happened before u got home and will fall off on its own any second now. Keep water nice and clean.

I wonder how that could have happened. Freak accident

+1^^^ Let him do his thing and wait some time. If you start to see something unusual then pull him and get him in a DT with pods and hiding place. Also, anyone know how to remove the urchine spine from fish? #reefsquad?
