I have read a number of posts that stated their Mandarin eventually started eating pellets. Can someone please tell me what brand their Mandarin liked?

I had one that ate New Life Spectrum pellets. There were plenty of pods available in the tank too. Not sure if he would have survived on the pellets alone but who knows.

mandarins have a very short digestive tract. They need an established population of pods to eat on all day long. It's great if you can get them to eat pellets or frozen along with it, but they can actually starve to death very slowly if all they have available is a once a day feeding of pellets. They have to eat constantly to stay healthy long term.
