Stand is painted and inside my house. So grateful for my older brother who came by and helped me take the stand apart then put it together inside the house.

Later today my father and another brother of mine are coming by with a few extra hands to get the tank inside. It’s getting so SO close.

And finally we have the tank in the house. We did not have suction cups so we ended up using just our muscles. There were only 4 of us and my goodness we had to kick it into overdrive to make it work. It was heavy. But it’s in. That’s all that matters.

Going to clean it out real nice then start filling it with water.

Great looking build- following.

question about your gyres- did you buy a controller for each xf350, or is one of those just a pump? Each controller can run two head units. Also- when I was pricing it out for an upgrade - I have 4 year old xf250’s on my 220g- it was less expensive to buy a waveengine and individual gyre heads. Plus it is app controlled and can run 4 units at a time.

I have 1 controller and 2 xf350. One will run on slave mode. I also have two MP40's on the back glass pointing forward. Should provide a heavy amount of flow for some SPS.

It just looked like you had two controller boxes. That is a huge amount of
Flow- nice!
I did. I bought them during Black Friday. I purchased an additional gyre with a controller because I was going to trade a friend for an MP40. Then I purchased a second gyre later.

Sadly I’ve decided to pull the fleece roller. I set it up and did a dry run of what maintenance will look like. The roller is too tall. It would be far more work and awkward positioning to change out the fleece every month than it will be to change my filter socks. Fortunately for someone else, that means an open box fleece roller is going up for sale.

The profilux is up and running. Still got some more programming to do. Derick from the YouTube and FB channel “Reef automation” has some good content

on how to do it all. Check him out.

Not the best looking but it’s a temporary solution. I reached out to a carpenter to see about building a custom cabinet. Otherwise, tank is doing good. Going through a very small bacteria bloom. I had the lights too bright from the get go. Turned them down and turned on the UV. I’ve got a large fish order being delivered Wednesday from Dr. Reef. Expect pictures when they arrive.

Alright so I have been silent for quite some time. I couldn't speak on this build anymore because it hurt to even think about what happened. My tank sprang a leak. It drained within the hour. It sucked. It hurt. I was ready to give up. But at the end of every storm there is a rainbow. Back on my feet. Insurance took care of me. Dream build incoming.

Sorry to hear about the tank leak. That’s brutal.

different situation but a couple years ago we were in DC and my daughters cat was left in the house. It managed to turn on a faucet in an upstairs bathroom sink. Somehow the sink plugged up and for a full day water overflowed. It was coming out of the ceiling below and basically flooded two levels of our house. Water everywhere. Bout $40k in damage. That cat found a new home.

Thank you. I was devastated for sure and ready to throw in the towel. @West1 encouraged me to keep my head up. Then the insurance called and said they were covering everything. So, now I’ve got a Red sea reefer 750 sitting at my LFS waiting for me.
