I kept a small Neogonodactulus wennerae for some time that came with some live rock, and it was interesting for sure. But the one in the video is a peacock mantis, Odontodactylus scyllarus, and arguably the granddaddy of all the mantids. From the size to the colors to their intelligence and hunting habits; very cool critters for sure. I'd like to have one of these some day, but they require about a 40 gallon tank, and I don't know that I can justify having a 40 gallon for just one animal in my small house.I love the colors! I wouldn't mind having one.
and that's why I don't want one in my tank! Pretty incredible to watch and they are stunning to look at.
