Hello, I am currently dosing BRS 2 Part additive daily using my dosing pumps. Periodically I need to do a manual addition of either Calcium or Alk, to adjust back to steady state for various reasons (increased consumption, large water changes, etc).

My question is, when I manually dose, say Calcium to my tank (which would be through the dosing pump app), is there a specific time I should wait before taking a new measurement with my Calcium test kit? I would think 4 hours is reasonable, but thought I would ask the rest of you how long you typically wait.

Also, on the BRS calculator site, they have max recommendations on how much to add in a 24hr period. Do you stick to dose recommendations, or do you dose the entire amount to get back to your target level. For example, if you Calcium dropped to 370 and you want to be at 450, do you add that amount all at once or up to 50ppm per day?....curious what others are doing.

Thanks for your input in advance..Happy Reefing!
