How many people out there have this coral? I’d love to see some pics. I got a tiny nub and it’s grown pretty well for me.

I don't have it but I have been looking for a frag. How long have you had yours? Looks like you did a great job growing out the small nub to a nice little colony.

Here it is a while back, then recently. It grew pretty well and actually started over growing the disc that it was mounted to. I reglued it to a bigger disc and was able to cut off a couple nubs that had started to stick out.

got lucky with a mini colony, will keep in personal collection
I know this is an old thread. But I haven’t been logged in in a while. The colors are super nice on your colony. What lights and par are you keeping it?

Looks really good.
Thank you! It was really rewarding to revisit. This was a coral that I got knowing it would be a wait to get it to any decent size. It took a long time but it’s been fun to watch along the way. Here is the piece I purchased.

I'm using Ocean Revive leds, pic taken in actinic blues. when I posted the acan was fairly new to my tank, took months to acclimate polyps wouldn't extend as far , par around 180

To answer my own question, I just realized the link says "ea" OG, so it must be the OG since the LFS was called Epic Aquaria.

I know I saw more than one acan called Mardi Gras after the OG and they looked nothing like the OG. I saw the OG in person and it was really nice.

This thing has done great. The color can morph a bit based on parameters and sometimes the yellow is more or less bright. But I believe it’s the original EA Mardi Gras and it’s my favorite Lord coral

Looks great. I wish EA was still around so I would have somewhere to visit when I go back to Shreveport. Last I knew they and all the other tenants were kicked out of the old downtown building they were in. Place was bought and the new owners were revamping the place. Aquarium maintenance was their money maker so I think they decided to just not reopen a store.
