To the naked eye these are about the size on a pin head and look like a black spec. I have seen these guys crawling around the base of corals sometimes on the flesh of a coral like a zoa or Monti. I have had black bugs before and these are not black bugs. Black bugs died fast in interceptor and they hurt the coral... these guys survived interceptor and the corals improved and have done better. Under the microscope you can tell the difference between parasitic pod and this guy.
They differ from the parasitic coppepod look. These have I believe 8 to legs and appear to be some sort of mite. I have tried a variety of treatments to kill them and nothing has worked. They are like impossible to kill.
Are these bad most important question and what are they?
How do I kill them if they are?
Am I worrying too much? Lol
