Had this pop up on my Facebook the other day, looks to be a new product - has anyone else heard of this?

Nice, love the look and potential of this.Hey @JonoH I'm the founder of Marine Spectra. We're a startup based in Sydney with a pipeline of smart integrated products under development, ask away if you've got any questions!
Hey Randy, people seem to assume we use pH, but as you know, that's not a great method for a number of reasons (probe life, non linear response, frequent calibration etc). So Kalkalator uses Electrical Conductivity for its sensitive linear response to concentration as well as the resistance of the probe itself to drift over time, meaning a more accurate reading for longer with much lower maintenance. How does it monitor saturation?

Very exciting.....love the integrated pump on the kalk reactor and details on the new dosing station. No video reviews just yet. We've got a couple of other products at various stages of development. Next up will be a companion dosing pump system, to augment the Kalkalator with 2/3 part dosing and ATO capabilities. Fully integrated for an easy setup of an aquarium wide calcium and alk supplementation strategy.
Randy interested to get your thoughts on that response?Hey Randy, people seem to assume we use pH, but as you know, that's not a great method for a number of reasons (probe life, non linear response, frequent calibration etc). Ok, thanks. :)

Hey, I'm the founder of Marine Spectra here... currently it doses a set amount, either spread over the entire day, or within a set dosing window. The monitoring is for indicating when to refill with kalk powder (this isn't obvious over time as calcium carbonate precipitate will build up, which is more or less indistinguishable from Calcium Hydroxide to the eye)Hey so does the kalkalator just dose the inputted set amount or does it automatically adjust dosage based on alk calculations. Basically are adjustment automatic or do I still have to test kh and adjust accordingly.
There's a backlog of orders that were pushed back 14 days because of an unexpected delay in procuring parts. The founder / support has provided transparent updates and are very responsive.Any further news or anybody bought one yet. I am considering one as a birthday and Christmas present combined.
