There's a backlog of orders that were pushed back 14 days because of an unexpected delay in procuring parts. The founder / support has provided transparent updates and are very responsive.
We have just been told 3 weeks before they will be available again in the UK.

This really is an interesting innovation. Definitely Following.

Does anyone have a single picture of this running on a system or a video?

The company need to get a YouTube video out there ASAP. However, given they are out of stock at the moment don't hold your breath. New stock expected in a couple of weeks they say.

Pulled the trigger on one earlier. They have a Black Friday deal on with15% discount at the moment using their discount code. Thats quite a good saving over the RRP. However, shipping will start week commencing the 8th December direct from Australia for us Brits anyway. I think there are 4 of us Brits who have ordered one in the last 24 hours.

Soooo. To the maths.
The Deltec kalk stirrer KM500 here in the UK can be had discounted to £450 RRP is £500. Add to that a good peri pump with stepper motor around £150 to £200. Thats £600 (all money in UK pounds with the current exchange rate thats around $795.

Marine Spectra currently have a Black Friday deal on of minus 15;% for the Kalkalator. UK price now £285.75, that's less than half the price of the Deltec with peri pump. Plus you get some Calcium Hydroxide and the Kalkalator tells you when to replenish the kalk.

I have always thought the Deltec was way over priced but unlike the US there is only one other kalk stirrer offered for sale in the UK. The Wavereef is available for around £200 without peri pump.

Mine arrived yesterday, I will be setting this up today, so watch this space. My Initial review is it looks and feels nice quality and is well-made. The footprint is small, which is always a bonus when trying to shoehorn anything into sump cupboards.

The Initial setup and connection to the home wifi was a breeze and as straightforward as it can be.

I'll post a video once I've got it up and running later today.

Mine and at least 2 others I know on a UK forum arrived yesterday. However, as mine is a Christmas come birthday present, she who must be obeyed abd bought me it says I have to wait till Christmas. I look forward to reading your report back Jay 😃

Any updates for the folks that have received theirs?
Houston, we have a problem ...or 2.

My app isnt showing the regular kalk concentrations that it should be doing. Layton has been informed and is looking into the issue.

Another guy in the UK shows his recods in his app but not the correct kalk concentration on the head of the unit.

Am using Android the other guy is on an Apple device. We are both in the UK and waiting to hear back. Information from our units are arriving and recorded on their server we are told.
The issue dosen't seem to be at our end but likely to be their end.

Hey @JonoH I'm the founder of Marine Spectra. We're a startup based in Sydney with a pipeline of smart integrated products under development, ask away if you've got any questions!
@lduncan the probe on my Kalk reactor is broken. Is this part replaceable? Where can i buy a replacement probe or what are my repair options?

Thank you
Bryan

I did a ham fisted review of my Kalkalator 3 weeks ago and posted it on YouTube. For those interested here ya go.

So happy with it? Looks to be working well.

Wondering how you reckon it would go mounted outside a sump?

Yes working well.
Although mine is mounted in the sump it's in the ATU reservoir attached to it so in fact you could mount it outside of the sump as long as it was able to pickup the water from the top up reservoir.

Sooooo. How are we all getting on with our Kalkalators? I am nearly 6 months into using mine and dispite some initial App issues it's been fine since and working very well. Certainly compared to the Deltec stirrers it offers much better VFM esp if you don't have a fancy controller like me.
Mine sits nicely in the reservoir of my D&D 1500 pro reef from which it draws its water from..
