I finally found a youtube video showing the mariner 130 tank. The stand is true ply wood
 
Can you include a pic of what you did to quiet the mariner 100 overfliw
 
That hole in the top of the drain tube with the cap, I put a piece of bubbler airline tubing. Also, make sure the glass cover plate is on the overflow chamber to limit some of the noise from the weirs and adjust the ball valve open or closed to limit the air getting "gulped".
