anyone know what OLI means ? Thanks.
FUXS, thanks for taking the time to share all your info here it really helps out, appreciate it.

"OLI - You don’t need anything, MT tests water quality."
I was curious as well so I look at there website and here is what they say that parameter is:

• OLI – is our own derived parameter which measure the organic matter in water. Can indicate when users should run or replace carbon

I was looking into these until I saw you have to use cheap inaccurate test kits like API

Great Review and thanks
One question that has been on my mind is what are the monthly reagent costs going to be?
I don’t want to use straight math because in reality the two don’t match. For example the Trident always has a lot of Reagent A left over and all the reagent usages change depending on what the tank parameters you target for.
I think all You need to do is find out how many tests you can get out out of each test kit, then work out how often you want to test per week and then you will work out now long your test kits will last with that information You will be able to work out how much you will spend.

Thank you! I'm getting my Mastertronic, Alkatronic, and Dosetronic tomorrow! I'm in the US, and have been waiting for these to arrive like I wait for my morning coffee (those who know me, comparison to my coffee is heavy). I managed to get my hands on Colombo Iodine from another Focustronic usergroup member and he shipped them to me from Belgium.

hi, why do you think alkaronic is better than KHD? I’m thinking to get AT&MT or KHD&IOND. Also what is the noise level of the AT&MT?

Mastertronic not loud, alkatronic is loud but it tests 4 times a day so it doesn’t bother me.
ghl was up and down with test results never trusted it,rubbish app but it’s was very quiet
just my opinion had the alkatronic around 3 weeks now and have it dosing my alkalinity for me

Hi paul, thx for your reply, so basically alkatronic is loud but seems reliable, KH Director is the opposite, tbh very hard to decide

Yes it’s a bit loud but I can honestly say I trust it more than my ghl, at the time I wanted the alkatronic but couldn’t justify the extra cost over the ghl so I went the ghl route I personally wish I paid the extra and got the alkatronic

Good review! Feels like it would be cheaper in reagents than a Trident but the savings will probably be in a less frequent testing schedule?!
But then again the possibility to also test NO3 and PO4 is very nice.

Can the Mastertronic actually use most of the reagents in the vials? Or do you need to refill as soon as, say, halve the vial has been used?
Would be a bit of a pain with leftover reagents and maybe contamination of reagents.

Only have 1 suggestion for them: give it a way to do single standalone measurement. Maybe by filling the testchamber manually with X ml or maybe a second input line.

There will be some left in the vials because the needle would be hit by the mixing bead I presume

Yeah I assumed. I just read somewhere that one of these machines left a lot in the vial.
Could've been the reefbot though.
