Which mount is that? The HMS and flex mount use the same "clamp" at least it appears that way from the photos. The EXT mount would be fine if it would allow for me to mount the light long ways or parallel with the tank but it appears it will only mount the light perpendicular to the tank. I do not want a mount that attatches to the sides of the tank at all.

I like it, I get less shading, but I give up some of the rimless appeal.

Aright guys it's finally finished. Here are some pics. Just added the light so maybe tomorrow when things open up I'll get some pics of the tank occupants. Let me know what you guys think. The fist tank is the before then the after pics.

Am I correct in assuming that, that front pannel is held up by magnets?! I am currently working on a 9 foot long stand to hold two to three nano tanks and one long shallow reef or frag tank, with compartment under for storage, ato resivors, and a future sump and would love to know how you were able to do the magnet thing. Also because of your build I now know about the Aqumai wavemakers, I am very interested to here how you like them!

All in all this is an absolutely wonderful build, I am just about to cycle my JBJ 30 RL and I am kind of upset I didnt pay for the 45 because I am totally jealous right now!

You are correct about the magnets but the door was made very light and pretty snugg. Home Depot sells the magnets, I will post a pic, DO NOT stick them on a flat metal surface as you will not get them off with your hands lol.

I counter sink them into the 2x4 legs then used a small, thin metal plate on the door and used 2 part epoxy that you can get at the hardware store to secure the metal to the wood.

The Aqumai pumps are really nice, super simple to set up. They have built in wifi that you connect to and program them through the Aqumai App. I really wanted to try the Aqumai LRM light but they said it won't be out until mid July in the states so I decided to go with the Hydra 26 HD since it has been proven over some time. One thing I will say is they are a very gentle and wide flow so to the hand they feel a little week but I can't find a coral in the tank that isn't moving in the flow. They max out at 1050gph which if I'm not mistaken is the same as Jebao RW4 or whatever they are called now. I really wanted to run my Maxspect Gyre XF230 but it was just to much when mounted on the back wall of the tank. Looked great though. The Aqumai pumps are TINY though and I love them so far. They are a tiny, controllable, 3rd Gen Korallia.

Thank you for the kind words.

These are the magnets

Here are how the sides look, I just used underlayment from Home Depot because it had these cool grain patterns and is was lite weight. The stain is one coat of weathered gray then sanded until I got the result I wanted, trim is worn navy and I coated the entire thing with polycrylic matte clear, the pics really don't do it justice. I wanted something that went with the pallet wood wall but didn't disappear into it. Really happy with the result.

How's the metal on the door look?

Still need to sand the excess epoxy down but here is the inside of the door. I used 4 magnets and 4 of these plates. I have no idea where to get this exact plate, I found them in my father in laws shop but I was just planning to use the little flat mending plates from the hardware store.

All of the interior of the stand was wood for the frames of the pallets I used to do the wall so if some pieces look kindda old that would be why lol

These are the plates I was going to use because I had them on hand until I found the others which were a little thinner.

Disregard the mess from the stain on the back of the door. I wasn't real concerned with what the inside looked like [emoji6]

No it's not, it's a nice positive click on and off. They are hard to remove from a flat surface like the fridge door but if you have any leverage they are just right.

I didn't test them I just went for it.

And my rodactis mushrooms to color back up.

Hopefully I'll be picking up my Grandis Palys today! I've been wanting some for a while but I always miss out on them when they pop up around here.

How are you liking the skimmer so far? I have a IM Ghost and I'm looking to upgraded as I add some more livestock. Currently torn between the 9004 and a HOB Reef Octopus.

I HATE hang on equipment so my vote is for the tunze. So far it's been good. The last nano skimmers I had were a long time ago so can't really give you a comparison. It's also only a few weeks old and I just got it dialed in to what I want so time will tell but as of this time I would recommend it.
