Looks nice, especially the overflow location. I got a 50g rimless cube with a center overflow and therefore, wouldn't look nice angled like urs. Keep us updated with pics. would like to know how well those lights work

I can't wait to start adding some more corals. I did get some SPS this past weekend at my local frag swap(BAR). I just need to mount them:smile:.

A pic of my sump...not much space left but it'll do..hehe.

I love this set up, it's really nice, organized, and clean. I'll definitely be looking forward to it's progression. I like the substrate you chose too.. wish I had gone more coarse for my sand bed!

Beautiful tank, man! Looks like those frags will have a fitting new pad... :)
Thanks and slowly adding stuff week by week:smile:

That's a very nice looking setup. I love the rimless look, but I'm afraid of having some fish jump.
CJ
Thanks, I do worry about fish jumping out but don't want to put a screen 'cause it defeats the purpose of having a rimless tank

nice tank and great rock work. Its look that you will have space for the coral grow..
Thanks and hoping I don't carried away of getting more corals....but what's the fun on that....lol.

Thanks, light is working too good and bleached one of my acros. I did turned the light down but might have to move it if color does not change.

Thanks , the bigger grain substrate works great and I can turn my MP10 high and not worry about a sandstorm...hehe.

Just a quick question- do you always skim so wet or is it just because you have a very low bioload that your skimmate is so light?

CJO- tank was still newly set up at that time plus the skimmer was a little tricky to get it dialed in. Now it's better and getting a darker skimmate. I was gonna change the stock skimmer, but a few adjustments here and there, it's skimming much better.

Love the setup, very sleek. Couple questions for you....

How do you like the AI SOL Blue fixture now that you've been running it for a couple months?
What type of dosing pumps are those you're using? and how are they working out for you?

I'm really glad i went with this light. Got great coverage for my tank and very easy to control on the fly. I'm using 2 Drew's dosing pumps, controlled by a RKL. Stopped dosing for the meantime 'cause my ALK and CA are getting too high. I think my 4 gallon weekly water changes are good enough for the meantime.

looking good manny.. love the ais man.. i was thinking of putting 1 more over my system..
AI FTW! The good thing about this lights are you can either turn it up or down, so 1 more won't hurt..hehe. Any FTS Joe?

Out of curiosity, just how high is your Vortech set to, and at what mode? I have my MP10 at half power on long pulse and even then it dents the sand bed on the other side of the tank. I may have to change sand when I replace my scratched up tank.

Electrobes- I got it set at around 60-70% reef crest mode. I can still turn it up and my sand bed does not even budge....just the corals..hehe.

Alot of it also depends on how long the sand has been in the tank. I was barely able to put mine on 50 percent without a sandstorm when I first got them, but can now turn them up to 100 percent without a problem.

Wow I like the BTA! I was just in another thread discussing how to get them to get their bubble tips and I think we're concluding it has more to do with genetics. Has yours always been bubble tipped?

I can't tell from the pics too well, but are the clowns together? It seems they are apart, even in individual anemones, in the pics above. Maybe they're a pair and I am just not seeing it.

Thanks and really happy with the marco rocks and the AI.

I had the one on the left for over a year now, old tank, and got it bubble tip but lost the bubble after a couple of weeks. The new one, right side, that I just got is still maintaining the bubble. I hope it stays that way. My other clown fish just hosted it today after a week or so:bigsmile:.

Thanks and you won't be disappointed with a elos tank. I was sold when I first saw one years ago..hehe.

I bought them as a pair but they are apart since I got them. The male(smaller one) just started hosting the other one today. The female is always pushing the male away, so I got him his own nem...hehe.
