Hello. I have a 20 gallon red sea nano cube.

so far this is what I have

corals (all small frags):
5x mushrooms
1x kenya tree
3x leather
1x montipora
1x acopora
1x clove polyp
4x zoa
5x hammer coral (2x have 2 heads and 1 of them looks like its adding 2 heads to it)

invert:
1x clearn shrimp
8x snail (4x trouchus, 1x astrea, 3x nasarius)
3x hermit

fish:
1x springer damsel
1x tail spot plenny
1x yellow banded possum wrasse (idk if this guy is gonna survive)

Was looking to see if I can add:

2x clownfish (would get rid of other fish for these since this was the main point of getting the tank)
1x high fin perchelt
1x rainford golby
1x tail spot blenny

1x mushroom coral

am I exceeding the bio load here?

Probably pushing it a bit.

The damsel definitely will be too aggressive in that small of a tank with that bioload but that’s a different issue.

If I were you, I would stop at

Clownfish pair
1 wrasse
1 blenny
1-2 goby depending on size

got it. i'm not particularly attached to my springer damsel tbh. just had as my first fish and apparently its good to have if you want hammer corals. will try to rehome the guy once I get clownfish. Thanks a lot!

Not sure how having a damsel helps with having hammer corals… but you’re welcome!

+1 on the damsel.
Yes your around the limits limits a 20 G yet the real differentiator is your husbandry, donh do water changes ? What filtration do u have...you can push things by carbon dosing and other yet that might be a hassle and not a good thing to run a tank that's overloaded.

Personally I will say the tank is full... damsel fishes will claim a 20 gallon territory to itself, so I'm sure it will kill any fish you add to the tank.

I think you have a good selection of fish right now, I wouldn't push it and I would leave it at 3 fish.

Its not only about bioload, but about having enough territory for you fish choices.
