Hi guys. I got this Maxima clam a month or two ago and seems to be doing pretty well so far. Today though a question occurred to me about its siphon, which side is the intake and which is the output? And then, would it be better/easier for it if I oriented the inlet siphon to the direction of flow in the tank?? Or would it make no difference at all?

No difference on position just have good flow and straight up.

Intake is the mouth looking portion and output is the tube structure.

Known as incurrent and extcurrent.

Just something that occurred to me but good to know that it doesn't make a difference. I'll be moving it up higher in the tank eventually where it will get more flow and higher PAR.
Thanks for the info!

The intake have these tentacles that is use to filter out large particles (not very effective I think. They all have it except Gigas.
