Glad to hear that. Bulk reef discontinued the jump 2k. So not sure if they are selling parts till they run out, or Maxspect will continue to supply parts after the pumps are eventually discontinued.

Do you know if other Maxspect pumps(within power specs) will integrate with the power center? Thank you

You mean, like a Gyre rather than the Jump? I would say no, as the main controller software appears to only support the 2k and 4k jump Gyres. Same for the Turbine Duo. You can configure it for a different size Turbine Duo, but not a completely different Maxspect pump.

Hopefully that makes sense.

In fact, I bought an extension cable for one of my 4k pumps that was either a gyre or Ice Cap cable and it would not work with this central controller.

Thanks KJ,

Yes, that’s what I was asking. I just don’t want to lose the functionality of the tank if they stop supporting the pumps after the one year warranty. I’m just hoping parts will be available for the foreseeable future. It’s a gamble, but the discount is nice.

Yep, definitely a gamble when it's kind of an all in one system. You can always submit a ticket or contact Maxspect directly as well for support.

I guess as with anything, we never know when a product will stop being supported.

OK, I can answer some of these questions as it goes with the armored seams, maybe I’m not sure what those look like if you can explain I’ll check my tank when I get home. I have not filled the tank and started the cycle yet so I can’t tell you how often we’ll have to fill the ATO. So I guess the only question I really can answer is yes you can plug those lights directly into the controller and control them.

Once I get it up and running I’ll let you know the rest of those things. If you really want flow I have a 4K jump gyre that plugged into the controller and works the same but with way more power. I haven’t decided if I’m gonna use that one yet so maybe I’ll sell it to you?

I think it’s worth the risk for the discount and reward points. Awesome on the armored seams.

Really appreciate your help this morning KJ!

Well, I don't know if the armored seams are on the LS-60 or not. I have the LS-150. I was just sharing what it looks like so someone with the LS-60 can confirm.

Always glad to share what I know on these systems. User base is pretty limited it seems.

Unless they are different than mine, no you can't plug the light into the main controller. It will need its own power brick and be controlled separately, but within the same Syna

Thanks for answering this as I’m not quite set up yet. I was told by BRS that the light would work and be controlled by the controller. I didn’t realize it wouldn’t plug into it. Thanks for clarifying

I bought the 1.5 gallon Maxspect ATO to go with the Ls-060 as an experiment and to lessen the connected equipment. The sump has covers that will limit evaporation. I’m going to purchase a lid for the aquarium that has a removable solid cover and see how long the ATO will last. Hoping for a week with the tank and sump covered for when I’m gone from home.

Previous aquariums were all a rats nest in wires. Even making them orderly in the beginning, they would always end up as a rats nest with cleaning or changing things around.

I purchased the aquarium because of the central controller limiting power supplies and extra wires. I liked the syna-g app when I had the ethereal, so it will be nice having a centralized app to control and monitor everything.

Even with the smart lagoon central power, I’m still looking at 5 plugs behind the aquarium. 2 for the lagoon power packs, 1 for Helios heater, 1 for my mini plank feeder, and 1 for dosing pump.

You're not planning to use the Ethereal fixture on the LS-060?

I sold that fixture a while back which I regret. They are out of stock everywhere. So in the mean time, I ordered the Maxspect mj -l290 to integrate with the tank. Part of the hobby for me is trying new equipment. I have a lot I need to list in the selling forum. lol

I'm really liking the Ethereals on my LS-150 so was thinking of getting one for the LS-060 I purchased. 🫣

Of course, I do still have the 3 L165 blues laying around.

I too like trying new equipment and have too much sitting around!

The addiction is real:). I didn’t know you bought the ls-060 as well.
I just reduced the hobby down from the LS-150 and an IM 150 EXT to just the Maxspect tank in the past few months. I really do enjoy just having one tank to care for.

But, I couldn't pass up the deal on the LS-060. I'm not even 100% sure what I'll do with it yet. I just knew I'd regret not jumping on it.

I received the Maxspect ato today. It didn’t come with any parts, just the container. Was it supposed to come with tubing etc?

Yeah

no it comes with nothing. There were extra parts in the tank stuff. They said just run tubing from the bottom to the float valve in the sump . They said to also move the sensor from the sump to the ATO container but that didn’t make sense.
