Hey all, new to the forum, figured I'd post an introduction.

I've been keeping fish for almost 5 years now, and started my first Saltwater tank almost 2 years ago (In October). I've read and have been reading (and watching) as much as I can find about all things related to reef tanks.

My current tank is an amalgamation of equipment that is slowly getting more automated. I got it specifically for coral (even more specifically for SPS), and am slowly growing my collection. I've faced down a bunch of pests and setbacks, but I'm slowly getting rid of all traces of those, and I'll be proud of my next FTS, but for now, some of the nicer shots from the tank:

Hi Shineymoose,

My favorite coral isn't pictured here, as it is recovering from tissue loss. As a result of this, part of it has been removed, and it looks a little rough.

The coral in question is a Tri-color Valida from ORA. The color has deepened to a dark purple since I changed my lights, and I'm thinking I could actually move it lower in the aquarium to get back the third color it produces. As it is, the bright green polyps against the purple makes it very striking.

I've had it since I started putting acropora into the tank, it's been a very hardy coral, and I was devastated when I had to cut part of it off. It has been growing back very well and I think in a few weeks it will be recovered and heal over that spot. As soon as it does, I'll be sure to post a picture.

And thanks! I appreciate the compliments and the warm welcome, from everyone :)
