Meet Shreck. I purchased this online as a green polyp toadstool about two weeks ago. It doesn’t look like the picture from the seller. I contacted them and they assured me it is. I’m new to this hobby also. So I think by now the polyps would be green. I moved it to a higher lit area with more flow. It opens up this far and sways. I think this is a good sign. At night it shrivels up and turns bright green. Can anyone tell me what type of toadstool this is? Thanks

I think the seller is running heavier blues but I also think they've adjusted the photo. I have one that looks similar but that pink...I am just not sure I've ever seen a Sarcophyton with that colouration base. Those bright neon green polyps are common and yours just may need some time.

edit: looked at your pics in the original post again and I don't know man, I am not sold that this is the same coral. Lighting, stress, etc can all affect colouring but this seems like they sold you the bland common variant (which is still an awesome coral :) )
