Meet Shreck. I purchased this online as a green polyp toadstool about two weeks ago. It doesn’t look like the picture from the seller. I contacted them and they assured me it is. I’m new to this hobby also. So I think by now the polyps would be green. I moved it to a higher lit area with more flow. It opens up this far and sways. I think this is a good sign. At night it shrivels up and turns bright green. Can anyone tell me what type of toadstool this is? Thanks

Do you have the seller pic

Looks healthy to me at least. They do close up at night and extend during the day. This is normal

Schrek is a beauty! Congrats on a great purchase! Be aware that coloration may look different due to different lighting. LOL, or Photoshop! In any case, it definitely looks healthy!

Well dang, I’m guessing shrek somehow autocorrected to Shreveport. Which to most won’t make a difference, but I live in Shreveport and there are no hobbyists haha. So I got overly excited.

Hard to tell if it's the same to me. I've never kept one of these. But I tell ya, I'm going to.
