HOLD ON! My understanding is that in today’s world, all you have to do is show up to get a trophy. Earning things with hard work and dedication is a thing of the past. What are you trying to pull here!?

You're showing our age using Sgt. Hans Schultz. (In a semi-related thought; I was saddened when Bob Crane was murdered.)
I didn’t know that about Crane. Just read up on it. So young and sad.

Update on swapping from soda ash to sodium hydroxide to supplement ALK.

The switch was to boost my ph that was chronically (not critically) low. These results are after 2 full weeks of use. Average PH has risen by .2 going from an average of 7.81 to 8.02. Also my ALK demand continues rising. Consumption of soda ash was 135ml daily to maintain around 8.2dKH and now up to 165ml daily to maintain around 8.4dKH. All livestock is healthy and happy with the change.

Note: Tank probes have recently been calibrated. I checked with my handheld ph meter (also calibrated) and registers ph much higher by 0.15. It sas reading 8.28 when APEX was reading 8.13. Regardless of which one is more accurate, the trend is my ph is much better.

Wanted to improve my PH so I ran a line from outside to the skimmer. Started helping quite a bit.

I know this is an old post, but I remembered this. I'm putting a line outside for my skimmer too. What filter is that and where did you find it sir? That's a great idea!

Thanks. It's a clamp on breather I picked up from Amazon. Here's the link - Amazon Link

Good morning all. I had a little time this morning to see what kind of growth if any from one week to another on the Aquadelight. To my surprise there was some that can clearly be seen. I really didn't think there would be.

Being a reef geek, I figured I'd share.

Photo was taken on 4/9 and 4/16. Seven days apart.

I liked how you put the pictures in opposite placement from the order in which you typed the dates. Not only does it make a person look closely but it makes a person wonder if you've had a few Bloody Marys washed down with a few Bourbons.

I did that alot when putting analytics together. Putting the latest numbers first (where I wanted the focus) and progressed historically to the right. I'm an odd duck that way. 🦆

I also hold/ eat my burgers that way too. Fingers on the bottom and thumb on top.

How are you dosing the sodium hydroxide sir?
What's this "sir" thing? You calling me old? 😉

I add 283g to one gallon of RO and dosing from 9PM to 9AM with doser. Currently doing 165ml a day. Followed @Miami Reef instructions from a while back here.

I get the former as I follow that same format.

The hamburger thing though. Get yourself some help, sir!
