Ok my display tank has been fallow with the cleaner shrimp for 21 days. My qt tank has been clean of copper for about a month and a half. Since I have no patience I bought some corals and put some live rock in my display extending the fallow period on the display tank that my cleaner shrimp is in. I'm asking do you think if during the move if I put the cleaner shrimp from my display tank into my qt tank with the fish that there would be a problem or should I just keep him in the display tank?

Ohhhhh... No I don't think it will make much of a difference especially if you rinse the shrimp off a little before going into the QT with the fish.

I just realized this isn't actually your build thread! You are probably a bit late on a build thread since.. oh, I don't know... you are already building it???? :p

LOL!! No, I haven't started a new build thread for the new tank yet. Lazy I guess. I figure I'll start that one when I'm able to get water into the tank. That way I can put all the slow stuff up all at once.

Hmm... not sure I would use the term lazy when it comes to you. More likely that you are neglecting your own thread because you are too busy helping in everyone elses!

Maybe. I also already have a captive audience here. I might get it started when the tank comes in. We'll actually start doing to real work at that point so it might be worth a new thread. I gotta go off to work now and convince the service manager to do a free delivery for me. ;)

So just put him in a gallon bucket? Or give him a shower?

When switching over, I'd take a small cup of the destination water and pour it over him (maybe he's in a net or something) then put him in the destination tank.

We have a stand!!! To give you an idea on size, that chair there is not a tiny office chair. The stand is 40 inches tall and 6 feet long. The tank has been paid for and should ACTUALLY come in on Wednesday! I'm trying to work a deal with our service manager to have them deliver it to my house. We will just have to see what happens with that.

Well, as this thread comes to a close I suppose it would be best to update it a few more times before the tank comes down. I'll try to add plenty of pictures and videos before the end. I don't think I'm going to manage to get the big tank up and running before december, so there's still some time left. Stay tuned for pictures and a video!

Proof that there are actually fish in this tank!! I had to stand back pretty far to get the picture without them running to hide. lol

The Purple tang. And while I probably shouldn't have favorites, he's it. For some reason the Black Cap Basslet and the Leopard wrasse were hiding so I didn't get much of them. You can see the Black Cap in the FTS though. Look under the Toadstools.
This one is pretty blurry.... I was standing back and zooming in. Sorry

That purple tank is sooo fat

Considering he mostly wastes his nori every day and lets it float around the tank I'm pretty surprised about his heft. lol I put it in there and he seems to just rip pieces off and toss it aside. I know he's getting some of it or else he wouldn't be so big.

Oh yeah! King of the tank for sure. He's not going to know what to do with all the room he's going to get in the big tank. Probably just get fatter

Wow..loved the eel... iv read that they are like dogs and love their owners and they allow to touch them and play with them.

id love to keep a predator only tank, just tht im a vegetarian, so cant keep large frozen fishes at home, however i somehow manage to keep frozen mysis, cyclops, rotifers and lobster eggs... lol. As my parents will kick me out of the house..lol. still plannin to keep a fuzzy dwarf lion though as a fellow hobbyist is a fisherman and has told me tht he wud get live fishes for me to feed the lion.. ;)
