I am currently dosing AFR and I am finding that it’s not sufficient enough with supplying my corals with the elements they need. Therefore I am exploring new ways to use in combination with AFR.
The parameters I am concerned about are the following:
Kh 7.3
Ph 7.8
Ca 400
Mg 1,160 (will raise that through dosing)

Kh and ca are at the low end and I would like to raise them. I would like to raise ph to the 8ish range.
I prefer to stay away from dosing a combination of elements like Red Sea or other products.
I was thinking about dosing kalkwaser through my ATO.
what are your thoughts on that and what other methods would you recommend.
Thank you in advance.

I wrecked my tank dosing Kalk via top off so I am not a fan of that method

I'm a fan of it, but there are also many other good methods.

That said, I'm not sure what you actually want. What is AFR not providing that you want kalkwasser to provide?

Kalkwasser is not suitable to make calcium corrections because the alk rise is going to usually be too large.

The dosage has ridiculously increased and AFR supplies are inconsistent where I live. So I was thinking of using another method with AFR to increase those parameters, trace elements are good from my last icp reading.

Can you please suggest some of the other methods that you mentioned with AFR.

OK, so as an add on, either kalkwasser or a two part system is a fine way to go. A two part is easier to implement.

But will it have any effect on calcium?
like raise it to the 420s?

Both methods will, but what is best depends on the intent.

Kalkwasser raises alk by 2.8 dKH for every 20 ppm calcium. That's normally fine, but with a calcium correction, alk will rise a lot.

A two part has two solutions, and they can be dosed independently for corrections, and with matching doses for maintenance.
