I recently noticed that my purple tang had white poop which I assumed to be internal parasites so I bought some metroplex and focus to treat it with. My question is if other fishes who don't have internal parasites, inverts and corals end up eating the medicated food mix would they be any ill effects?

it is extremely difficult to treat with metroplex and food - you really can't be sure what levels you're getting depending on how much the fish is eating - you can get too much or too little. I would just use in a hospital tank - in the water - as directed. Second, white stringy poop can just be diet related as compared to a parasite. What are you feeding the fish?
