Micro algae/sea weed from Hawaii???

I am in Hawaii and love the sea weed or micro algae here.
Could I take a clump home to California?

Also, what kind is it?

I very much doubt that you can take anything home from Hawaii to California. They both have very strict rules or what comes and goes.

Yeah, you will have to go through a station that x-rays your luggage to make sure that you don’t have any live plants or fruit etc.
