Does this work to get rid of cyno I heard it does just had an outbreak and levels r good weekly water changes can’t get rid of it

I suspect it does though haven’t used it. I’m responding because I had 2 cyano patches earlier this week and got rid of them in 3 days by (1) lowering white light from 30 to 10% (coral doesn’t care), (2) increasing flow to the effected area, (3) stopping my daily 4ml ab+ reef energy amino acid dose, and (4) replacing filter floss daily. You may want to try these things first. (I plan on restarting twice weekly reef energy ab+ but only 5 ml each). If after 3 days no success, let them have it with Microbacter 7. Let us know how it goes. For context, I have a small reef with 50 net gallons)

I would not assume that adding it will eliminate cyano.

Weekly water changes can advance Cyano /Dino if we strip the environment of nitrate and phosphate.

You post levels R good, your good, my good, their good, all may be vastly different.

What are those levels now?
What do they do week over week.

Cyano loves unstable chemistry.

It’s like adding bacteria in a bottle, and that may fuel Cyano to some degree.

Get a read on all parameters and their daily/weekly flux will help to narrow the “what” might be outta wack in chemistry.

Once you correct the cause, you can chemi-clean what’s left…. Gone in 48hours.

I’ve never seen any results from MB7 or much any bottled bacteria. Until I tried TM nitribiotic. This stuff is amazing! I’ve had Dino’s, cyano, GHA, etc covering my sand bed since setting up tank. Never could get it to clear up.

Week 1-2 of dosing nitribiotic. Left front power head is where I dose it. Much cleaner

4-5 weeks later…

Nothing else changed besides TM nitribiotic. I’m a believer of it for sure now.
