Came home from work to see just the tip of a dwarf cerith snail shell sticking out of one of the mouths. Anyone had this happen! Just curious about what to expect from the coral after this...

Three hours later and it’s all the way back in.

Five hours later and it’s all the way out. I’m looking for the snail within the shell. Don’t see anything as of now.

As for the Micromussa, it’s still acting normal. Deflating a bit as the lights go down. The mouth of that polyp looks a bit stretched out. It’s protruding a bit more than the others.

I had an acan do the same thing a few weeks ago, except the end of the shell poked all the way through the flesh (not the mouth).

I didnt see if the snail ended up getting out or if the acan digested it, but by morning the acan as a whole looked fine, the lne polyp looked rough for a few days but recovered

I think I have too many dwarf Ceriths. I have a frag rack 12 inches above my Duncan and a snail must have fallen into my Duncan.

Again came home later the same week. And the Duncan was pushing out what I thought was it’s last meal. And then 30 minutes later, guess what, another snail was getting pushed out of an LPS. I had to get the coral feeder tube and help pull it out.
