Hello

I’ve had a Midas blenny for about 4 months and he’s been fine but after being away for a week I’ve noticed he’s got a white spot about 2mm round behind one of his fins. Also slightly raised around this area. Doesn’t seem to be as active as he was before and sitting in his normal hole. Would anyone know what this could be and how to treat it?
Thank you
Alex

Can you post a video of the fish taken under white light? That would allow us to see the lesion, as well as the fish's breathing rate and overall demeanor.

Hope this is clear enough, had to turn the blue lights off as it wouldn’t pick up the spot on camera. The white spot seems to have turned black but the swelling has gone down.

Thanks
Alex

I can see a black spot, is that what you mean? The looks superficial to me, the blenny looks very good in all other respect. This could be from a minor injury....

Yeah the black spot. It was white and swollen the day before and is now black and the swelling has reduced so hopefully whatever it was is healing. I saw the cleaner shrimp interested in it the other day so that might help.
