Me too! After my fish come out of the quarantine tank they always go straight to the acclimation box. I too feed multiple times a day.

Thanks so much Wendy! We are fortunate that our wrasses do get along well. I believe using an acclimation box for new introductions helps a lot. We also feed multiple times a day and they do have plenty of nooks and caves to chill out in.

I have been through this thread for either the second or third time. I have a couple of questions as usual!
What is the third fish down?
Also I tried to find a lighting schedule in the thread but did not see one.
I wish I had room in my hood and my sump area to be able to utilize all of the equipment that you and others have, unfortunately, the design of my tank and stand prohibits all but necessary equipment.
I am having a custom sump built that will allow a much more organized area with more room and am considering a reactor. What kind do you have?
My sump will also be constant level which will allow an ATO and small storage tank on the side. I am converting an "Urn" into water storage.

Also Terry, after trying 2 Filefish with no success , I purchased 10 very large Bhergia Nudibranch and eliminated my Aiptasia problem. Thanks for your help!!

Hi Wendy, sorry for the delayed reply...

The third fish is a Ctenochaetus truncatus (Squaretail Bristletooth tang). We've had him for about 7 years now.

We are running 3 reactors on our system now. Calcium RX: Geo 818, Kalk RX: Geo (not sure of the model off-hand) and a Phosban 550 for GFO. We occasionally use another Phosban 550 for GAC.

Here's our lighting schedule:
10:00 AM: LEDs ON
11:00 AM: Actinics ON, LEDS OFF
4:00 PM: Halide #1 ON
4:15 PM: Halide #2 ON
4:30 PM: Halide #3 ON, Actinics OFF
10:00 PM: Actinics ON, Halide #1 OFF
10:15 PM: Halide #2 OFF
10:30 PM: Halide #3 OFF
10:45 PM: LEDs ON
11:00 PM: Actinics OFF
11:30 PM: LEDs OFF

It is good to hear that you were able to eliminate the nuisance aiptasia using the bhergia nudibranchs and glad to hear you have someone building a custom sump for you and hope the new design will give you some much needed space. I had been spoiled for quite a while with our remote sump room on this system. Had a bit of a rude awakening when we setup the 30g nano in June as a stand alone system w/everything stored (crammed would be a better word) under the stand, LOL.

We have one terminal male Eightline and he is definitely large and in charge. For the most part, he doesn't bother any of the other flashers or fairy wrasses. Every once in a while, he'll do a bit of chasing and displaying w/the McCoskers, but it never lasts more than a minute. We recently moved the P. angulatus (Royal) over and the Eightline completely ignored him. The one that caused some trouble was our Yellowfin flasher which was absurd as he is quite a bit smaller than the Royal and got his butt wooped, lol. He's in timeout in the acclimation box right now. Hopefully, he has learned a lesson and will leave the Royal alone when we re-release him. If not, we'll have to move him to our frag tank.

I do have an unused entry on the other side of the wall. I would hide a cabinet there, but the new sump and some "Decorative Engineering", should hide most of what I have in mind. I will be finished soon and will post new photos.
Thanks for the ID on the Tang. One of these days I will make up my mind on which one I want!

Your lighting schedule is unique! You obviously have your reef trained on Mike and Terry viewing time lol!.
I love to watch my tank at night with the dark blue LED "Moon".
