so I was talking to my buddy/new favorite coral supplier about how I've been doing weekly 35g water changes.
he suggested doing 5g nightly to keep parameters (what are those?) more gooder. so that's the new thing.

what's a water change??

went 6 months with out one. but as I've noted, I hate chemistry, testing, blah blah blah.
but when aluminum showed up in an ICP I decided to change up things. and since I work
a lot of OT, and can afford the salt and DI resin I started doing weekly, now nightly changes.
and no more manual dosing.
now, according to zoanthid dot com website, my previous $100 5 polyp rasta is worth over $1000.
so I got that going for me.

I like loads of different tanks for different reasons but yours is one of the few I have to stop and take in each time you post an fts, my hat is off to you sir, happy new year.

thanks Simon. I keep up on yours too. I think we like what each other is doing because we don't follow the "accepted rules"and oh my gosh, it's working. there's a few more of us out there too that we both follow.

I think the cleaner was try to get in the shot.
maybe parasite. only time I've seen something like that was cold water freshwater fish... bass, perch, sunfish.
and it didn't affect them. I did a search in the fish disease forum and nuthin popped up.
