Basically just wondering about care requirements for most millies, I have acro's and monti's but I just got a few of my first millies in about a month or so ago and 2 of them havn't quite colored up to expectations. I received Joes bubble Gum Millie, Joes Sunset Millie, and Joes Inferno Millie, The only one that has some of the color is the Bubble Gum. I run LED's so lighting isn't a problem and Nitrates are practically undetectable. Wondering if lower light vs higher light ect? Let me know where you keep yours! Thankyou!

I don't find that they are any differnt then any other SPS. Each one is different is regards to light and flow. I have my millies towards the top of my tank. I do have one millie (a green very hairy one) where the front edge gets 400+ par at noon and the back edge only gets 90 (+ or -) par and the color still seems to be the same. I do find they like quite a bit of flow though. I love millies and if I had more room I would have bought reefpets pack in a heartbeat.

+1 I keep mine in mid flow why because their millisecond and their polyps extend better in my tank under med flow flow 400 par areas.

Millipora = Acropora millepora, treat them like you would any other Acropora... Mllepora sp. = fire coral and totally different from what you're speaking of.

Mine have all been under strong light and tons of current, they seems to do the best with polyp extension and color.

IME millis require full spectrum lighting more than any of my other acros. Especially reds/pinks and oranges. I have no proof, so I could be wrong on this.
