I have a mini carpet anemone that is spitting out a brown stringy substance and it looks like he's pushing his guts out, he is still attached pretty good. I have a 55gal tank, it has been up for about 9 month. I do weekly 10% water changes.
Temp is stable 78.6
Salinity 1.025
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 10ppm
Calcium 380ppm
Alkalinity 11dkh
I do have some green algae, so I'm sure my phosphates are a little high but no test for them yet.
I do not have a sump, but that will be a future build
I have 2 800gph power heads, a reef octopus 90 hob, aquaclear500 filter. My lights are a marine and reef 2.0 led, and a 250 metal halide over half the tank.
I also have a bubble tip, long tentical, and they all seem very healthy. All of my coral also looks like they are doing good. So right now I am not sure what is going on with my carpet, and hoping someone has some advice!
