Missing Lawnmower Blenny

Hi everyone,
I haven’t seen my Blenny in a while now (about a week or so) and fear he’s gone. I have a 75gallon display that is adequately covered. I’ve checked the over flow and sump with no luck. I’m at a loss. He’s cohabited with his other tank mates for over a year, no predator fish or otherwise.

Do Lawnmowers burrow in substrate?

Ive had two lawn mowers. They seem to be shy and are really good at hiding. One thing I found they LOVE is a veggie clip with nori on it. Maybe put one in there and see if the blenny comes to eat off it. I dont thing they burrow but I could be wrong, they just camo really well

How big was the blenny?

I’ve had blennies vanish simply because they’ve died of old age - My last blenny did this.

Lawnmower blennies don't bury. When they go missing they're usually on death's door, unfortunately (this particular species seems to have a very high mortality rate in captivity, ie: <1 year for most).
