Hey Reefers.

I introduced a Ruby Red Scooter to my 95 gallon tank a few days ago. Saw it in my tank for 1.5 days in different areas of the tank. Did not see it all day yesterday or today so far. I fear it may have been eaten up by the crabs. It was only about an inch in size. Did not see any other fish aggressive to it. I have 2 clowns, a purple and red firefish, a royal gramma, a diamond goby, a mandarin, an a couple clown gobies. Would a nassarius snail been able to kill it? Or do scooters hide inside rock work? I hope it turns up later. Thanks.

They are active fish, Kinda have to constantly eat to survive so they dont really hide long like wrasses.

try putting some live bbs in the tank see if draws it out.

I see you list a Mandarin, if it was the same sex as the Ruby scooter, they would fight to the death. Both are dragonets.

dang. Didn't know they would fight to the death. The scooter was like 10x smaller.

I have a scooter (not Ruby Red) in my RS 260. It's always on the move. Keep in mind it won't just be on the bottom, but up walls, around all rock work. I can almost always find mine if I spend a couple minutes looking around the tank. Your tank is almost twice the size. Might be hard to spot.

Hi!
I just introduced a Red Scooter and noticed he (or she) keep on hiding himself in the substrate.
