missing shrimp plz help

I baught a peppermint shrimp the other day and he went right into hiding i saw him last night but he hasent come out sence and today i hade to clean of some of my live rock that hade some sand settled on it and it wasent under any rocks or in and holes that i could see and i didnt find any kind of remans and im not sure what to do now any advice

Do nothing... he may be fine and of found a hole in a rock to go molt or something. No remains means he is still using his body. It seems to be common for them to go molt soon after they get put into a healthy reef tank. Feed late and see if he shows after there are NO lights on for an hour or so.. using a flash light.

If not, .. well he is beyond help.. anyway.. sorry. But he will most likely show in the dark.

Just look for moltings or look for whiskers moving by rocks. I haven't seen mine since I out him in the tank just moltings. So that's fine for me.

My shrimp prefer to come out at night. Also, critters that molt have a high tendency to molt soon after going into your tank due to the increase of food (most stores keep their tanks pretty bare). I would not worry about it.

i found him he was hiding behind a power head where no one can see him and its prity dark lol but thanks for all the help

I only see my peppermints when I look at the tank late at night with my red led flashlight
