Didn't like to keep anything but hermits in my tank crabwise.

I'm sure people have never had issues with them, but just look mean to me :P

Completely is a strong word. They're slow and prefer algae/easy to obtain frozen food. They're opportunistic scavengers though and have been known to occasionally snipe a very slow very dumb fish or a sick fish as well as nip the occasional coral if quite hungry.
