Hi all,
I'm about 9 months into my tank now and have questions about the idea of a mixed reef. I know they say it's harder than a dominant tank but have seen so many ppl have success. I have LPS and soft corals doing just fine, I even have a Monti cap that is thriving, edges growing and good color. Seems though, any time I try an entrusting Monti or branching Monti, or birdsnest or style, they do ok for awhile, then slowly polyps recede and then algae takes over, then done.
Asking for tips or advice. Parameters are pretty stable from what I can tell. Is it lighting? Flow? I don't want to make drastic changes on account of 1 coral not seeming to thrive at the moment. All other corals are doing great.
Please help! Haha
