Very weird, never saw something like that before.

The main pump that came with the tank failed this week. A little over 6 years of service. Not sure if that is good/bad. Luckily this forum convinced me to purchase a backup years ago.

My Maxspect XF280 Gyre on the left side failed last week. I replaced them with a pair of Maxspect Gyre XF350s, which although smaller are much quieter. I am not doing any fancy flow settings this time just 40% on each side.

Updates:

I replaced the protein skimmer pump a few weeks ago. All the pumps I use have been replaced now. Also, one of the Maxspect Gyre XF350s failed and had to be replaced. (BRS was great to work with on the replacement parts.)

I did a major trim job today.

It was time to restart the Digi, as it had been at war with the bubble for months now. I was starting to get STN on one side and each morning another branch had lost all its tissue.

It was so big, i had to move the light to get it out of the tank.

The (2) Maxspect Gyre XF350s were permanently replaced by (2) SICCE XSTREAM 8000. I don't recommend Maxspect at all anymore. Their XF280s were rock solid for (5) years, whereas the XF350s would last a few months at best before failing. I went through 5 of the pumps via warranty replacements.

Xenia grew back really quick. The (2) SICCE XSTREAM 8000 have been running problem free. I switched to captiv8aquaculture for Calcium chloride and Sodium carbonate due to pricing concerns from my previous supplier.
