I have an ocellaris clown, and Im thinking about getting another clown. But I want another color, im thinking a gold banded maroon. Can I mix them? Or will they fight?

the maroon are usually pretty aggressive if i was you i wouldnt but if you wanying another color you could get a black clown or like a platinum clown

I have mixed a oscellaris "davinci" and a platinum clown. They do fine a little nipping here and there but great color. I'd do a black and white or try a black and ice.. That way you get off colors

I would advise against a maroon. They are gorgeous but don't usually do "community" well. They can be extremely nasty and get very large. This is a fish known to bite the hand that feeds and draw blood when it does.

Thanks, I will most likely get a black clown, but my next favorite was the piccaso how would they do

I would like a maroon, but ill still be happy with a black or a piccaso haha
Thanks for all your help!

Maroons are just flat out meanies, to everyone in the tank.

If I was interested in breeding my clowns would an ocellaris/black, or an ocellaris/piccaso pair up

Haven't the faintest idea if that would work.
