I have a pair of small orange spotted gobys in my 125.
I really want ether a diamond goby or a sleeper gold head goby.

In a 125 with plenty of sand will a pair and one more goby work?

What goby has more personality the diamond or yellow head? Just want a good sand sifter that roams the tank more

The Diamond has a better personality plus it doesn’t make a huge mess by picking up sand and swimming around the depositing the sand on corals and rock like the Gold Heads are more inclined to do. The Gold Heads also can reach 7” in length.
Be careful with adding too many sleeper Gobies because they can deplete living animals in the benthic areas of your tank rather quickly, then you run the risk of it starving to death. Plus, the reason for having a sand bed is to maintain polychaete worms, inverts, bacteria and other beneficial inhabitants to help with the symbiotic chemistry within your tank.
