Hello all,
So I'm setting up my first tank, and I have purchased a used RSR250. It came with a bunch of existing equipment, some of which, is 50 lbs of live rock and 1 artificial coral insert (its about an 18in arch piece). The whole setup had been taken down, cleaned and dry. So I didn't really get to see what the setup looked like before.
Since I want to have a mixed reef setup, should I just not use the artificial insert in my aquascape, or do you think it would look OK to have both, and let coral just sort of grow over the insert as the tank ages? This way, the tank has some pop at the start, and wont look as barren?
