MOBIUS APP TIMEOUT CONNECTION.????

I greatly dislike that we are stuck using a cloud service from them even though you must be within bluetooth distance of the devices to access them on the app. I was getting a cloud service error before the connection timeout error. Poor implementation.

YES this is happening to me all day......... ugh. major drag. I have to power off everything to feed now... no control of any of my pumps..

this cloud thing is bs.. what if the internet is out? we're just sol? I am really starting to rethink my hardware here... having the carpet pulled like this is terrible and it really exposes how fragile this system is.. I mean when it works it's great but total reliance on the cloud is a HUGE single point of failure...

Had the same issue - thought it was connected to the time change. Uninstalled and reinstalled the Mobius app and it’s working again albeit takes a while to load and I have to keep using UN and Password.

Evening Reefers,

Is anyone else experiencing issues with the Mobius App..? I'm unable to login.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled App..Nothing.!

I've removed power cables from devices..! Nothing..!

Reset lights and changed password still getting the message as per pic.. Anyone else having such issues.?

Has anyone had any joy..? When I login now it's asking for tank name..?? Like a whole new setup.! ‍♂️
My old tank has gone and all devices. I'm holding out in the hope it's a glitch as I don't want to recalibrate everything again

Seems to be working for me. Maybe close the app and reopen it?

I tried that, I have had to setup as new tank for some reason..? I have none of my tanks or devices in app, Just asked me for new tank name then setup like new again..! very weird. it is working but only as new setup so no have to recalibrate returns

I just reached back out to tech support as the app appeared to let me in for a min but was similar to the guy saying it was asking to add a new tank but recognized all my equipment but wasn't functioning properly so I logged out and then started getting the same timed out connection issue - ecotech confirmed it was working until about 10 min ago and started having the same issue - they are looking into it

This is a nice push to other options that don’t rely on the cloud. I know people love apps and they can make life easy, but not everything should require cloud services or apps.
Things were so much smoother running a reef link and using ecosmart live in a browser. Too bad the newer vortechs are not compatible with the reeflink. I needed to add 2 mp40s to the 4 I already had when I started a new tank. I reached out to support and was told mobius was my only option for newer devices. :crying-face:

Thanks for reaching out to them and reporting the info here. Much appreciated.

I'll just keep unplugging my pumps for 5mins to feed for now.

Yes I am having this issue as well. Problems started on Nov4th, I was able to log back in very very early before dawn today and later today I am not able to log in. It's probably due to the internet traffic from election day.
I'm not enthused about using a cloud based app to access my ecotech devices. A simple connection to the Ecotech devices via a direct wifi connection would have been better.

Mine keeps changing times too. Probably twice a week across 3 devices


Shoot id take twice a week. This past week for me has been better, but prior weeks, when i get home from work ill have to update the time, sometimes numerous times a day and every day at that. There app is garbage.

Of course, when i contact support i get no response.
