Mobius compatible ?

Hey all so over the weekend a buddy of mine handed down a radion xr30 GEN3 to me! Super excited and I know it’s definitely overkill on a 20 g zoa garden but a free light is a free light and it looks amazing! That being said I’m looking to add to the Mobius app to make my life easier (minus the constant problems with the app) are there any nano return pumps or any other devices that are Mobius compatible?

I had to change the RF chip/ module in my Gen 4 XR15s to be able to connect to Mobius. I could be wrong but I don't think the Gen 3 are compatible with Mobius.
I'll throw this out there because it's a real problem but doesn't affect everyone. I have trouble with mobius losing track of the correct date and time. When this happens it will cause the lights to come on at the wrong time. I've gotten up at 3am to the lights blasting the tank. I now only use mobius to control my MP powerheads and my xr15s are sitting on a shelf.

Look at the aqua illumination (AI) Axis return pumps for a nano monious compatible return pump.


FYI… All the ai and Ecotech stuff are mobius compatible.

Thankfully he had installed the chip a while back and it has connected to my app no problem!

Ahh ok thank your I didn’t know the axis ones were able to be app controlled I have looked at them a couple times

I've just gotten used to checking the app every few days to make sure its still synced. This is what is shows when it loses sync. Hopefully you won't be one of the few that experiences it. Other that that issue I've grown to like the app.

I’m looking at them now would you recommend a axis 20 or 40 for a AIO peninsula 20 gal it says up to 15 for the 20 but I feel like the 40 might not fit in my last chamber ?

I would get the biggest one that would physically fit in your chamber.

Gen 3 should need a updated chip to be able to be mobius ready.

You can contact the manf like I did to update 2 mp10’s to mobius for under 30 a chip vs eBay at 75-100 pre shipping.
