Monocle Breams, Squirrelfish, Sea Basses.

Hi all, I’d like to know if any of you have kept the Monocle Breams, Squirrelfish and also the Harlequin / Tobacco Basslets. If so, how have they done for you / how long have you had them? Are they hardy and do they eat everything? Do they eat smaller fish?

The species I might keep one day are:

Squirrelfish-

Crown Squirrelfish (S. Diadema)


Breams-

Whip Tail Monocle Bream (P. Emeryii)

Two-Lined Monocle Bream (S. Billineata)


Basses-

Harlequin Bass (S. Tigrinus)

Tobacco Bass (S. Tabaricus)


Do all of these get very big? Are they super active too?

The Public Aquarium where I work on weekends has a few two-line monocle bream. They're moderately active, probably 8"+ or so.

Thanks. If I grow a smaller one from my tank do you think it’ll get that big? Are they easy to feed and keep? Do they take dried food?

What kind of tank size is needed for them and do they eat small fish?

I'm afraid I don't have the answers to those . . . The tank they're in at the Aquarium is 3,000 gallons.
